Andy Roddick became the biggest casualty in the second round of the Western and Southern Financial Group Men's Open Tennis tournament in Cincinnati. Andy Roddick lost the 1 hour 58 minute battle against Sam Querry 7-6(11), 7-6(3).
Seventh seed Jo Wilfried Tsonga was also on the list of the people going out when he lost his match against Australian Chris Guccione 7-6(12), 6-2. Former world no 1 Marat Safin continued his bad form as he too lost in the second round to Radek Stepanek 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Big serving Croat Ivo Carlovic also lost his match against Paul Henry Mathieu 7-6(9), 6-4.
Earlier Robin Soderling who came back from a elbow injury last week lost his first round match against Lleyton Hewitt. Tommy Robredo, Gael Monfils and Juan Carlos Ferrero also lost their matches in the first round.
