The Executive Board of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) approved in its July meeting the new strategic directions of the world’s governing body.
The new strategic plan includes hat the FIH adopts the goal of tripling the total FIH revenue by 2016 by:
- developing the hockey product in order to build its appeal and accessibility
- taking control of commercial rights
- actively promoting a unique and consistent global profile for hockey
supported by:
- strategic investment focused on revenue growth
- effective structures.
The FIH Executive Board also received a full update on the FIH World Cup 2010 in New Delhi , India
Regarding future tournaments, the decision was taken that the BDO Men’s Champions Challenge I venue in Argentina will been changed fromQuilmes to Salta
The World Club Championship 2010 has been approved by the FIH Executive Board under conditions presented by the Competitions Committee in cooperation with the Marketing Committee.
