[football] Real Madrid Gets Past DC United

Real Madrid are showing the value of their money in the US tour. After forgettable beginning of pre-season with an narrow win over Shamrock Rovers and loss to Juventus, the Madridistas are now rolling on. After a 5-1 win against Toronto FC in Canada, today Real won 3-0 against DC United.
Real started the game with attacks from all sides and ended that way. Except for a few counter attacks where DC looked like scoring sometimes, Real were the players of the ball. However they could not score any goal in the first half. In the second half Gonzalo Higuain opened the scoring at the 56th minute. The Argentine added another goal just 3 minutes later. Arjen Robben finished the tally at the 56th minute.

Real started with newcomers Albiol, Arbeloa, Kaka Xabi Alonso and Ronaldo in the first eleven with Kaka starting as striker alongwith Ronaldo and Higuain and Xabi Alonso taking control of the midfield. Though against small teams, these succes will give the fans some relief about their new stars.
