Pennetta broke Stosur at the 7th game in the first match to take a 4-3 lead and ended the set 6-4. In the second set one break was not enough as Stosur broke back. However Pennetta sustained the pressure and got a break exactly at the same situation and went on to take a lead 4-3. At 5-3 ahe broke again to take the title.
It was 8th title for the Italian star. Samantha Stosur lost in the semi finals in the Stanford Classic last week. The Australian has not yet won any WTA tour title.
