[tennis] Nehru Cup in Jeopardy Again

The problems with the Nehru Cup are not over yet. After the AIFF had decided to replace Thailand by Palestine now Palestine is being scrapped. Palestine Football board said that they can not send their main team as all the players are holidaying and will come back by the end of this month. They were sending a 'B' team consisting of players from the clubs of in and around Jerusalem. In reaction to this the AIFF decided to remove Palestine from this event. It may be remembered that Thailand was removed from the tournament because they were sending a U-19 team instead of their main team. Read more here.

The tournament will now be of round robin format with 5 teams and the new fixture will be released soon. The teams remainig now are last year's runners up Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka and Lebanon alongwith host and defending champions India.
