[football] Crushing Win For Inter in Milan Derby

Inter Milan had an emphatic win against local rivals AC Milan to put their domination in Serie A back in place once more. After a listless draw of Inter against Bary FC and AC Milan's confidence rebuilding win over Siena, it was expected that this match would be a tough affair for both. However Inter had a blazing first half that saw them going 3-0 up and opponents getting down to 10 men.
The slaughtering began as early as 29th minute when Diego Milito set up a ball to Thiago Motta and he did his job properly. At the 35th minute, Gattuso tackled goal bound Eto'o from behind to give them a penalty and win a yellow card. Milito score from the spot. When the things were looking already bad for Milan, Gattuso did another tackle from behind on Inter new arrival Wesley Sneijder to get his second yellow and getting the marching orders. Maicon gave Inter 3-0 lead at the end of 45 minutes. As if this was not enough, Stankovic got a ball around 30 metres away from the goal a the 67th minute and fired a screamer that Milan goal keeper had no clue to save.
Wesley Sneijder started his first match for the Inter side and had a fairly good game. Firing two quick shots on goal in either half and winning a freekick that saw Gattuso being sent off, Sneijder did his job well.

There was a similar match being played in Germany that had a bright start to another Real Madrid reject Arjen Robben. The match was equally anticipated one in Germany as this was in Milan and the results were strikingly similar. The match between Bayern Munich and Bundesliga champions VFL Wolfsburg was not expected to go 3-0 in favour of Bayern. This is what Robben inspired in his first match for the Bundesliga side with a brace scoring at 68th and 80th minute after Mario Gomez gave 1-0 lead at the 27th minute. This was Wolfsburg's second consecutive big defeat after they lost 2-4 to Hamburg last week.
