[football] Nehru Cup: India Loses The Last Match To Syria

India lost the last league match of the Nehru Cup to Syria 0-1. The match was unimportant for both the teams as both have qualified for the finals even before the start of the game. It was the match to test the reserve bench and to make out the idea of the strategies for the finals.  India rested Bhaichung Bhutia, Sunil Chhetri and Surkumar Singh and gave chance to reserve players to play.
The match was evenly contested however Syria had an edge over the Indians. They scored the only goal at the 18th minute by Ali Diab when he headed home from a free kick.
The final match will be played on monday. The match can be seen live from this blog after the match starts.
